Participate in a research project on mindfulness and compassion

Are you interested in exploring the profound connection between mindfulness and compassion? Do you want to embark on a journey of self-discovery while contributing to valuable research? If so, we invite you to participate in our exciting research project!

We are conducting a study with the University of Aberdeen to investigate the effects of a 30-day mindfulness-based compassion practice on levels of compassion towards both people and animals. This project aims to deepen our understanding of how mindfulness practices can cultivate compassion, benefiting not only individuals but also the world around us.

This study is open to participants who are 18 years or older and have not already completed the compassion challenge on the Medito app.

Participating in this research is easy and rewarding. Here's how you can get involved:

  1. Take the Survey: To kickstart the project, we kindly ask you to complete a brief survey about your current mindfulness practice and your levels of compassion towards people and animals. Your responses will provide valuable insights into your starting point for the 30-day journey.

  2. Join the 30-Day Compassion Challenge: Once you've completed the initial survey, it's time to dive into the heart of our project! You can access the 30-day mindfulness-based compassion challenge through the Medito app. Simply download the app, navigate to the challenges section, and select the "30-Day Compassion Challenge". Each day, take part in a guided meditation designed to cultivate compassion towards yourself, others, and the world around you.

  3. Take the second survey. We will send you a second survey so we can compare the responses with the first survey and determine whether the 30-day practice has had an impact on compassion levels.

By participating in this challenge, not only will you have the opportunity to enhance your mindfulness and compassion skills, but you'll also be contributing to groundbreaking research in the field.

Please note: Your email address and Medito ID will be collected in the surveys to allow us to send you the second survey at the end of the 30-day challenge, and for us to connect your first responses with your second responses, and with your meditation practice. Once the data has been brought together, the email address and ID number will be deleted, ensuring your anonymity.

Thank you for your interest and participation!
