What is World Mental Health Day?
World Mental Health Day takes place on October 10th. It is an international day for mental health education and awareness, recognized by the World Health Organization. It was first celebrated in 1992 at the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health.
What is Medito Foundation doing for World Mental Health Day?
On October 10th we'll be sharing a talk about the link between mental health and meditation, presented by Dr. William Van Gordon. William is a member of Medito Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Board, a professor in contemplative psychology at the University of Derby and was a Buddhist monk for 10 years.
Also, throughout October, we'll be sharing mental health tips across our social channels. So make sure you're following us on Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook.
